The developer of the VLC application responds to news of a serious application gap

Specialized media have been interested in the news that VLC Media Player is experiencing a very serious and critical security vulnerability, according to the German government's cyber attack response center CERT-Bund, but the developer has responded to these reports.

VideoLan, the developer of media player VLC Media Player, has categorically denied a serious security vulnerability in its program. It has also denied that the CERT-Bund has reported any gaps,

VideoLan explained through its Twitter account that the problem was in a third-party library named libebml and that the gap had been corrected 16 months ago, and the recent versions of VLC Media Player do not suffer from this problem. It seems that according to the company uses an old version of Ubuntu and is Ubuntu 18.04.
